All things TF2-ish

So I know I said I've uninstalled it but there are still so many crazy things people can do with Team Fortress 2 instead of playing. Here are a couple examples.

The Lion King done TF2. There is great lip-syncing and the conversation matches the context, one of the best TF2 dubs I've seen.

TF2 Man - when Mega Man meets the crew, I wonder how he would fare against the different arsenals of the TF2 screw. More guns!

Weigh-ins and shootings

So I just weighed myself. No change. Still 214 lbs. I started walking my stairs though, so we'll see if that helps in the long run. But with the weather so nice outside nowadays, I feel an almost pathological urge to eat ice cream and laze in the sun... Well, at least I didn't gain any weight whilst traveling.

Anyways, if you have facebook, you've probably seen Farmville ads at least once if not more. If you're like me, you probably got sick of all that. So how does a chance to shoot (twisted and insane) farm animals sound for a change? You can try your hand at this game. It's not too hard. I got all but the two medals required for survival. Although I did have to reload twice to complete the game... I recommend turning off the sound.

Mktg 101

How to attract people to your game?

Step 1. Use attractive female actress
Step 2. Talk about recruiting people to said actress cause
Step 3. Insert penis joke

End product should look something like this.

How Rhythm Games can Merge with FPS

For a preliminary concept, I'd say not bad. Needs more crit rockets though.

Red Alert 3

Makes for a pretty neat MTV. And so many chixorz...

But then you have to contend with DRM. After the Spore DRM fiasco, I wonder how it will finally turn out for EA.

Vids

What happens if TF2 experiences the recession that the world is feeling now? It would be something like this I guess.

And THE FRONT FELL OFF.

I'm Your Medic

Remember the uber-cool Soulja Boy TF2 MTV I posted awhile ago? No? Well, here's another cool TF2 themed MTV. This time it's completely original and uberly uber cool.

Without further ado, I'm Your Medic.

To my TF2 pals who read this blog, I expect this kind of medic proficiency from you guys in the future. Practice harder!!

Rock On!

Guitar Hero - Who hasn't heard/played this game? And now, there's a portable version out on the Nintendo DS. But being a handheld, there is no gibson for you to jam as you play. Instead, there is a new dongle to attach to your DS. Afraid that your jam sessions will be ruined by this foreign "instrument"? Not to worry, here is the How-To Guide for this handheld version. Enjoy and ROCK ON!

GF TF2

Is a lot of laughs. Enjoy.

A bit of background. Team Fortress 2 (TF2) is a first person shooter (like Doom or Halo) where one chooses a team (Red or Blu) and a class (soldier - with the rockets, demoman - with the bombs, scout - the fast, small one, heavy - the biggest guy, medic - the doc-ish looking one, pyro - shoots flames, engineer - uses the wrench, sniper - has a scope, spy - can turn invisible). And then one team tries to unleash hell on the other.

Bonus video. Monty Python done TF2 style! Watch for the guitar hero pyro!

TF2 Overload

I'm amused at all the creative things people have done with TF2. It's a game but I've seen so many youtube music that utilizes TF2 sounds. It's incredible.

Here are some of the best I've seen. And a special shoutout to AhSeng. Most of them are Scout-based. Bonk!

1. Mortal KomBonk

2. NFL Bonk!

3. Super Bonk Land (Soon to be my ringtone)

4. One of my favourite characters, the Heavy Weapons Guy.

5. More Scout.

And lastly, it's been raining all day here. So naturally my thoughts are about how to keep warm, and what better way to keep warm than the pyro? So here's a tribute to that crazy bastard we all love and can barely understand.

Animal Abuse

Be warned, the following video contains scenes of graphic animal abuse. I do not advise listening to the video carefully. You might choke on your food.

Bad cow pun indeed.

Spring Forward!

So I know I promised to upload pics and I went to Flickr to upload them, but then I realised that they only allow people (myself included) to see the most recent 200 pics. Since I'm not willing to pay $25 a year to change that access and also because I'm not impressed with Flickr's interface, I'm considering switching photo services. Does anyone know if Picasa is any good? I spent a considerable amount of time today downloading all my stuff from Flickr to my HDD and gave up after the 120+th photo. So just a reminder that yes, I still remember.

In other news, it's time to Spring Forward guys. Daylight savings has arrived! I like it. It means when I reach home, there is still light (although maybe no warmth still) when I go jogging. Means I can go by the lake again. And it's always nice to think that Spring is here, after spending a dreary 4 months in the cold, sleet and snow. That means another 4 weeks to a more *ahem* colourful street scene. I'm looking forward to that as well. It also means it's a 13 hour difference with home now. So that means a better convergence of timing to chat and catch up with people back home. That's always nice.

And who says gamers aren't cool? This is Soulja Boy done Team Fortress Two style. Enjoy.

And to the people who understand - Isn't that rocket jump, turn and frag of the scout so damn cool?!?

影のように忍び寄り、霧のように消え失せる。。。

That damn cool quote has almost nothing to do with the post proper but I found it irresistible and had to stick it in somewhere. It came from last week's edition of Shounen Sunday and I must say, the Japanese version panders to a much different audience than the English version. For those who can afford to take a stab at the Japanese one, give it a go. It has far more variety I think.

Anyways, I'm gonna be leaving the house yet again. E.B.O.F. might travel far and wide, but I stay on a site for weeks on end. Since the plant is (finally) going to start up, I'll be heading down to (hopefully) learn as much as this college-adled mind can absorb... Cos someday, I'll have to do this stuff solo. And hopefully the notes I take now won't fade/get eaten by some random animal/get lost in a office reshuffle. But I won't be at home for the better part of next month. Just a heads up.

And finally, a big welcome back to Bleach_Deathgod, previously circa 2006. His presence invokes memories of younger, simpler times, when all you had to do was score well and try to get enough sleep while doing a project... The good old days eh. Also, if you have no time/are lazy to load your WC3, have a go at Desktop Tower Defense. It might be worth your time.

Edit - I just finished the game on Normal mode with a score of 5151. That means 39299 other people have had my score. See if you can do better.

他最近的project犯了一个超大的错误,当上士叫他把公司想要bid的project的经济算术(hmm, not sure about this translation here)时,他忘了数一个equipment.

And a brief review of the DS-X for the interested. The DS-X is a brilliant piece of equipment that basically transforms the DS into anything you want it to be. A PDA, a game machine, a psychedelic MP3 player... Nothing is out of it's scope. And the best part is, it's just 1 piece of equipment. So no transfer is required between equipment before stuff gets onto the DS. In fact, I'm going to have a quick go at Robot Wars Taisen now. =D

Edit - Did some 改正。

Rhythm is a Dancer

DDR, Donkey Konga, Guitar Hero. All these are games that aren't really in the Super Mario genre or the Doom first person shooter games but are nevertheless awesomely fun when you get down to it. Today, I present a few other ZOMG fast fingers in 2 other rhythm games.

Beatmania, which is a DJ kind of game with a faux disc that you can "spin".

Pop 'n Music, which is kinda like the Japanese version of Beatmania, but it looks like it was designed for people with really big or really fast hands.

Lastly, here's a link to travel tips from Yahoo. You can go check it out if you're interested. It might be of some help.
