My laptop has officially flipped. THe keyboard doesn't work at all. And the best thing is, when i sent an email to toshiba to ask about how would i go about getting the thing fixed, they sent me a list of dealers in INDIA... INDIA for god's sakes. Some people just can't read. Either that, or they see INDIAnnapolis only... What a bunch of bloody male chickens.

I'm dying without my own personnal laptop. I have to go to the comp labs every day just to do my work... ARgh. And i can't play many games either... double argh (argh argh).

Things are NOT going well for me at the moment. My laptop is down, I'm sick and i still have 2 tests to study for next week. Plus on top of that, i have to prep for the PSSA's annual dinner and dance. Currently, I'm still at the pc lab doing adverts. Or at least to the best of my illness-addled brain can do.

I remember a some people complaining about my spelling. I just discovered dictionary.com. It's a god send i tell you. Along with it's counterpart, thesaurus .com, my spelling as improved tremendously. =)

That's all the bitching i can muster for today. I gotta go back to work. Ai Kun Liao.

OK people, I know it's been awhile since my last update, but don't blame me. Blame the University (who shall remain annoymous to protect myself). I have had 2 exams , 2 projects due and a fund raiser in this absence. I didn't even had time to email my parents so you can't complain... There.

Now that that's settled, I can get down to bitching proper. You might have observed that the main page is not updated properly. There is a very good reason for that. Mainly, MY LAPTOP IS SCREWED UP. THAT LOUSY SHIT ASS TOSHIBA SATELLITE IS F***ING WITH ME. I so swear to God. The right cursor key is like permanently depressed. This makes any work, ANY work impossible on that. The only thing i use it for now is listening to MP3s. And even that is screwed up at times. Argh. What a time to be stuck in a small college town with NO toshiba dealer within 50 miles...

Anyways, I'm trying to get info on how to process an international warranty claim now. So hopefully my laptop will be back up and running in about 2.... months. Till then, I will have to rely on the "trusty" pcs in one of the various laboratories to do my stuff like communicate with the world and my homework... Looks like i have to pitch my tent here(the pc lab) already.

Lastly, I managed to post some pics of the fund raiser before my laptop went the way of the dodo on me. It's not very much, but go check it out. I'll go back to praying to the God(s) who look out for wretched, forlorn laptop users like me for a ray of light. I have to go for classes now.

Well, riding the fast canine on Earth (Greyhound) was an experience that I haven't had in a very long time. I kinda remember when i was young, there were such bus trips to Malaysia and other places. So the Greyhound was something like that. A 3 hour trip to the Windy City Chicago.

Ah... Chicago, Home of the Bulls, Cubs and (recently) Gawee Lee Jack Jin. I had about 40 hours to spend in Chicago after arriving there on Sunday afternoon. So I went to Chinatown and ate dim sum. That's the best thing about Chicago - the food. Purdue food doesn't even compare to the stuff Chicago has to offer. I had dim sum for lunch and a cornucopia of Singaporean food. Or at least close enough attempts at Singaporean food. Chicken rice, bak ku teh, char kuay teow (not so good)... I'm salivating again now... Although I didn't get my fishball noodle, dry with chilli, I was satisfied. But such food doesn't come cheap. Overall, over a 2 day span, i think i spent more on food than on my hotel.

So I went to Chicago for one main thing. To eat. What's new right? But i managed to squeeze time from pampering my palates to see Gaweeee. The University of Chicago is a pretty place, with lotsa ivies and gardens. I went in fall so there was many shades of red, yellow and brown contrasting with the green creepers on the grey buildings. It's like the school caretakers purposely grow ivy on the building. Even the modern looking buildings have ivy on them. The photos for this trip will come when i can see Gawee online again so he can pass them to me.

Walking Chinatown, University of Chicago and downtown Chicago took up the better part of my first day and only night in Chicago. I went to see the John Hanncock tower (94 floors high, at that height, a penny dropped can cause serious concussions) and went to the famous Cheesecake Factory. It's verrrryyyyyyyyy gooooodddddd. The tiramisu cheesecake is fantastic. And i'm sure that many many people will agree. Definitely try it if you have the chance.

On my second day, i woke up late so i could only visit the Shedd Aquarium. It's really interesting. I didn't know that there were eels that mimiced sea grass. There was also a pair of hongkong chicks that were hanging around the amazon exhibit. Consequently, i spent an inordinate amount of time looking at Amazon turtles, crocodiles and frogs. =)

I didn't manage to finish touring the aquarium though before i had to run about 15 blocks down the street to get to the Greyhound bus terminal. So that was all for my trip. Photos will be coming soon.

Whee!! It's October break!! A long weekend for all the long sufferring students in Purdue!! I'm going Chicago this weekend. Meeting Gaweeee on Sunday, go down to chinatown, chill out a bit. Then I come back on Monday and piah(study) for my Comp Sci test on wednesday. Don't you just love it? Uni life?

Anyways, for those people who directly bookmark this page (and i'm sure that there are a few), the main page has been updated. Go check it out and comment in my guestbook. Go go, shoo shoo.

Next weekend, the Purdue Singapore Students Association is having a food fair to raise enough cash for our annual dinner and dance. We hope to reach 1300 dollars in ticket sales. And I'm the sales in charge. A very stressful job i tell you... I have like 2 white hairs in the span of planning for this event... But people still say I look young. =) Hehe.

Once again, go check the main page. Go go, shoo shoo.

I'm so dead. I have 2 exams in less than 48 hours and I'm online doing my blog... Don't you just love me?

To all the chemistry/chemical engineering students, I feel your pain when you study chirality and optical isomerism. I spent 2 hours reading 6 pages and 4 diagrams and i still gave up understanding that concept... Again, i'm so dead...

So i'm typing this entry before i start on my other subject, philosopy, another head-banger topic. I have like 100 pages to go through by tuesday morning 10am... I'm so dead...

On a lighter note, I'm level 13 already !!! W00tz!! And it was only 4 months ago i was a mere level 8 with a 25-17 record. Hahaha. Now i have a 72-53 record. w00tz. According to battle.net, that puts me into the top 15 percent of the frozen throne players.

I just got Dreamweaver from Macromedia Studios. So I can start revamping this site. Hopefully, I can learn how to use that thing in less than a month and by christmas, you'll be seeing a new zueig.

Just discovered central heating yesterday. Haha. Thank god. Turns out that you actually have to turn the thing on, in addition to the central heating system working. Nearly got myself burnt in the process. But finally, central heating!! It's a godsend.

Anther thing i just discovered, my first white hairs... ARGH... Imagine, 2 and a half years slogging in the army and i can still maintain a vibrant shock of black hair. I come here and within the first 1 month, my hair starts whitening... Shocking man, simply shocking.

Oh yeah, a post departure shout out to Zee. Hope you arrived safely in UK. Cheers

And i still have to study for yet another exam. Argh.

I guess I'm learning to integrate exams into my daily routine. I can't be studying for exams forever yeah.

Well back to the books.
